What does the adventure of life want to let me know now?

Oct 12, 2025

by Joel Silberman

Love is always flowing in and out, creating a stream of stability, stillness, and peace.
It can hold and carry anything.
Anything.

Zoom out and see it.
It is a grandmother holding a child with timeless patience and love. Whether the child is in distress or just there for a snuggle, the grandmother's love is unfailingly there.

The wholeness of this ever-flowing love carries all - hopes, wishes, and concerns, conflict and peace, joy and agitation; and sees the beauty of all things - the beauty of rain and even the beauty of the complaining about the rain ruining the picnic.
Love carries all.

Letting go is easy when the reasons for grasping are no longer believed. Zooming out, you can see what looked like a tree was really an elephant's leg.
You'll never know you are seeing a human if you are zoomed in on a single cell.

The adventure of life is here now.
It always has been.

When the mud settles, the water is clear.
A sound in the distance echoes in silence.
A sensation in the scalp arises out of nowhere.
The sound of water arises.
A story is noticed.
A breath is felt.
The muscles are relaxed, and a story arises that when there is no reason to tense, tension falls away.

Connecting with something inexhaustible,
Hope gives way to love of now;
Wishes give way to gratitude;
Concerns are but a child to be loved;
And understanding is a concept as funny as the best, most loving joke ever.
