What does love want me to know about the unknown?

Jan 24, 2022

by Joel Silberman

The unknown is your friend.
It loosens the tensions, the worries, the striving.
The unknown can support you - an infinite void of emptiness, darkness - like a warm black blanket - you are comforted.

Every thought, feeling, and sensation has an element of the unknown.
They cannot overwhelm you - their power is muted once their true nature is revealed.
They are not as they first appear - not exactly fitting the label or judgment the mind first thinks.
First impressions give way to depth and breadth of details, perspectives - noticing both the manifestation and mystery of these and all stimuli, all reactions, reactions to reactions, the container for these reactions, the observer, and the observer of the observer.

Out of stillness, deep observation can go even deeper.
As in the Tao Te Ching, you may experience not just the darkness of the unknown but also darkness within darkness - a sense of the unknown even about the unknown and its being the ultimate mysterious source of all things - manifestations sprouting out of the dark soil of the void, vibrations, energy patterns, ebbs and flows, light and shadows, motion and stillness, swaying, weaving, evolving, appearing, and disappearing.

Embrace this and be nurtured by it - align with it and let it power your spirit - it fills you up and can't help but emanate outward to bless all beings.
